Adam Still Believes
After making his £10 million move from Blackpool, it seems that Charlie Adam has taken no time to settle to life at Liverpool. In the absence of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, Charlie Adam has been a regular fixture in the central midfield of Liverpool. In fact, he has been one of the better players for Liverpool in an otherwise up-and-down campaign.
Liverpool started the season brilliantly, but their form has been wavering a lot of late. As a result, they find themselves in a spot that is going to make it extremely difficult for them to qualify for the Champions League. Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle are all ahead of them in the league as they continue to compete for the final champions league spot in fourth position.
Charlie Adam still believes that Liverpool can get back to form and winning ways soon enough to recapture the fourth spot. According to the Scottish midfielder, one of the main reasons for Liverpool being able to challenge for the Champions League places this season is the strength in depth of the team compared to the previous seasons. After spending a lot of money in the summer, Kenny Dalglish finally seems to have arrived at some sort of sense. With a few additions in January, Charlie Adam believes that Liverpool can finally qualify for the Champions League.
In a recent interview, Charlie said, “When you are at this club there are so many good players. People like Dirk Kuyt on the bench, Steven Gerrard never played, Jamie Carragher never played and Craig Bellamy come off the bench as well.”
