ADAM WORRIED FOR BROTHER
Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has said that he is extremely concerned about the future of his brother at the Scottish club Rangers. Scottish club Rangers are in the turmoil after being plunged into administration with huge debts looking to follow the club as a whole just around the corner.
Charlie Adam used to play for Rangers a few seasons ago before making his move into the English football through Blackpool for around £ 750,000. Since then, Charlie Adam has went on to much better things after signing for Liverpool in the summer for around £ 10 million.
Charlie Adam’s younger brother Grant is currently playing with Rangers and the Scottish midfielder has expressed his concern over the future of his brother. Rangers are expected to make a number of cuts in order to save money, and Grant is expected to be one of them. The 20-year-old reserve goalkeeper faces an uncertain future in football, and it is one of the main sources of worry for Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam.
Charlie Adam was part of the Liverpool side that lost during the weekend against Arsenal. The 2-1 defeat certainly puts a shadow into the hopes of the club to qualify for the Champions League next season.
“The only person I am interested in is my brother. He is my brother and that is the important thing, he might lose his job and it is going to be difficult.” he told the Football Tips website.
“But the rest of it is nothing to do with me, I cannot affect what is happening or what has gone on before. That is the situation they are in and that is how we have to deal with it,” said the Reds midfielder.
There is a real situation developing in Scotland whereby Rangers could cease to exist if they do not save just over £ 1 million every month. Their odds of even just finishing the season have plummeted on the bet exchanges, though that bet has yet to feature amongst the betfair football tips! Hopefully they’ll be ok.
